The team at Faces Makeup and Hair would like to provide you with a further update of our response to the most recent COVID-19 restrictions ease in NSW on and from 25 February 2022.

The ease of restrictions and the continued change in circumstance means we will once again need to review our practices, including those developed under the COVID-19 Safety Plan.

Because we have always been, and will always be, prioritising the health and safety or our clients and staff, we will maintain most of our existing COVID-safe practice.

What has not changed?

Wellbeing of staff and customers, social distancing

Our staff will be asked to stay home if they show any symptoms of respiratory illness, or is subject to any mandatory isolation order.  In this case, we will either re-allocate other members of the team or (where possible) reschedule your appointment.

We will continue to

• requiring all our staff to wear face mask
• requiring clients displaying any COVID-19 or respiratory illness symptoms to reschedule their bookings

You must call to reschedule your appointment if you or any member of your household shows any symptoms of respiratory infection or COVID-19, including fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath or a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes.

Specifically for in-studio services:

• please do not bring any additional guests to our studios;
• you will be required to use hand sanitiser (provided) upon entry; and
• you may be asked to wear shoe covers or remove your shoes before entering our studios (depending on flooring).

For on-site services:

• there must be reasonable ventilation (windows and doors opened where possible);
• there must be at least 1.5m radius around our work station; and
• any person showing any symptoms of respiratory infection must not be present on-site.

If any of your guests display any symptoms of respiratory infection or COVID-19, our staff may ask them to leave the premises (either in-studio or on-site), or otherwise limit the service they will provide and in serious cases, our staff may leave your premises, in order to ensure that their wellbeing (as well as that of our subsequent clients) are protected. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

What has changed?

Vaccination status

In line with industry practice and community expectations, on and from 28 February 2022, we will service both vaccinated and unvaccinated clients. However, due to the personal nature of our services and the impracticality to "social distance" from our clients, you must be able to provide satisfactory evidence of either:

• full Covid-19 vaccination status (at least 2 doses), with the last dose of vaccine administered less than 6 months prior to the date of the appointment; OR
• a negative result on a Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), less than 12 hours prior to the appointment commencement time.

This applies to every patron included in your booking. If you return a positive result on a Covid-19 RAT in the 7 days leading up to your appointment, you must call to reschedule your appointment. See our rescheduling policy here.

If our staff need to attend your premises to provide services, please ensure that everyone present in that premises are able to provide either one of the above forms of evidence.
